Mambure Trust seeks to bridge the divide between rural and urban populations by promoting the effective and strategic use of digital literacy skills and mentorship programmes for the empowerment of girls and women in rural schools and communities. Although the idea to have this organisation was conceived sometime in 2014, it was officially registered in April 2016. Objectives:
*To promote and enco
urage the participation of rural girls and women teachers in Information Communication Technologies (ICTs)
*To equip rural young people with digital literacy skills to access and utilise information for their self-advancement.
*To mentor rural girls into future ICT based and male dominated careers and employment.
*To establish computer clubs in rural schools which act as peer support groups for girls and women to exchange skills, information and ideas.
*To network rural girls and women with other girl/women empowerment organisations.
