A historic milestone that reminds us how far we have come through shared vision and collective action. As we honor the legacy of our founding fathers, we recognize that the next chapter of Africa’s story rests squarely on the shoulders of its young people, who are not just tomorrow’s leaders but today’s drivers of innovation, peace, and sustainable growth. From championing digital integration across borders to leading grassroots development projects and demanding accountable governance, African youth are the heartbeat of the continent’s renaissance. RAFYT therefore calls on every young African to embrace their role as builders of an integrated, prosperous and united. When we celebrate together, we affirm that our diversity is our strength, and our unity is our power. Let us march forward with pride, purpose and the unshakable belief that the Africa we want is already being shaped by our hands.

RAFYT in partnership with FES Zimbabwe is empowering 12 women’s Internal Savings and Lending (ISAL) groups in Masvingo by strengthening their governance, leadership, and long-term sustainability. Through supporting each group to develop a robust constitution, the initiative embeds transparent structures and democratic accountability, while targeted capacity-building equips members with skills in financial management, decision-making, and conflict resolution. This approach ensures the women-led groups can operate with integrity, grow resiliently, and sustain their collective economic and social impact well into the future.

Yesterday’s session with Madam Huruva from Masvingo City was a powerful reminder that real change begins with knowledge. Our 25 Club members left equipped not only with a deeper understanding of air pollution. Its causes and its serious health and environmental effects but also with practical steps they can champion, from reducing waste burning to promoting proper waste management.

The energy in the room confirmed that this is more than a lesson; it’s a spark. We are confident that these empowered youths will carry the message forward, turning awareness into community action and proving that a cleaner, healthier Masvingo truly starts with each one of us.

Today 25 youths from the Real Agenda For Youth Transformation flagship Masvingo Environmental Health Club went through a session on Pollution with Madam Huruva from Masvingo City. The session educated Club members on air pollution, its causes, and the serious impact it has on our health and environment.

The session also explored practical mitigation measures that we can all put in place as a community from reducing waste burning and promoting proper waste management, to raising awareness and encouraging sustainable practices.

It was an insightful and empowering session that reminded us that creating a cleaner and healthier environment starts with each one of us.
