We are connecting Zaka through a community network built in collaboration with TD & Partners Zimbabwe, with support from Internet Society and Internet Society Foundation. Our goal is simple: make reliable, affordable internet available where it’s needed most.

At TYDF, we believe the internet is for everyone. When people are connected, they can learn online, access health information, grow businesses, find jobs, and stay informed. Closing the digital divide means opening real opportunities for young people and communities to thrive.

Our B2B Refresher Training at Nyuni Lodges is in full swing. Yesterday, we took a deep dive into the issues affecting our youth and the systems that track our progress.
Key Highlights:
• Safety & Prevention: Constable Matimbe from Zimbabwe Republic Police - ZRP joined us to tackle the rising challenge of drug and substance abuse, equipping our team with awareness tools to protect the next generation.
• Data Excellence: A huge thanks to the representatives from National AIDS Council of Zimbabwe for their support with DHIS2 training. Better data means better delivery for the communities we serve!
We’re excited to see these mentors grow in capacity and confidence as the training continues.

Day one of the Brotha2Brotha Refresher Training was successfully held yesterday at Nyuni Lodges in Masvingo.
The highlight of the day was an insightful presentation by Mr. Majembwa from the Ministry of Health and Child Care , who spoke on HIV & AIDS, STIs, NCDs, and communicable diseases. His session equipped B2B mentors with valuable knowledge to strengthen their work in supporting communities.
Looking forward to more engaging sessions as the training continues.

Yesterday, we had the honor of hosting the National AIDS Council of Zimbabwe Board for a field visit that showcased the impact of the Brotha2Brotha (B2B) program in advancing HIV prevention among adolescent boys and young men (ABYM) in Zaka District – a group historically under-prioritized in the HIV response. The Board engaged directly with young men now accessing HIV services while also benefiting from integrated economic empowerment, including vocational training and enterprise development. They interacted with boys involved in detergent production, baking, and creative (performing arts) entrepreneurship, as well as those pursuing vocational trades at Mushagashe Vocational Training Centre and currently on industrial attachment through National AIDS Council of Zimbabwe support. These pathways are strengthening agency, reducing vulnerability, and enabling young men to lead safer, more productive lives. We appreciate NAC’s social contracting model, which is enabling a more holistic and impactful HIV response for boys and young men.

🔴 World AIDS Day 2025 — Overcoming Disruption 🔴

On 1 December 2025, TYDF participated in the National World AIDS Day Commemoration at Mzingwane High School, supported by the National AIDS Council.

This year’s theme, “Overcoming Disruption,” underscored the urgency of sustaining HIV prevention, treatment continuity, and resilience amidst system shocks. The event also marked a major public health milestone — the launch of the single-dose HPV vaccine, a critical intervention in reducing cervical cancer among adolescent girls and young women.

🔴 Strengthening resilience. Advancing prevention. Protecting the future.

🕯️ International Candlelight Memorial — We Remember. We Rise. We Lead. 🕯️

On 30 November 2025, TYDF joined national stakeholders at Mzingwane High School, Umzingwane District, to commemorate the International Candlelight Memorial, with support from the National AIDS Council.

Anchored in the theme “We Remember. We Rise. We Lead.”, the commemoration honoured lives lost to AIDS, celebrated the resilience of people living with HIV (PLHIV), and reaffirmed community leadership in the HIV response.

As TYDF, we continue advancing community-led monitoring, SRHR integration, stigma reduction, and youth-led accountability mechanisms that strengthen equitable access to HIV and TB services.

🕯️ We Remember the lives lost.
🕯️ We Rise to challenge stigma and structural barriers.
🕯️ We Lead in centering young people in the HIV response.
