BE PART OF DEVELOPMENT!
Journey for Social Advancement (JSA) works with marginalized groups, with special focus on the youth, women and persons with disabilities.
We traverse the length and breadth of Zimbabwean communities, especially the rural areas, where opportunities are slim, information access is limited, and talents get wasted for lack of exposure.
Under the Patronage of the Visionary, Hon. Emily Jesaya, we strive to inspire, empower and ignite the fire of development.
Our motto is ‘Propelling Development From The Grassroots’ because we believe in eliminating poverty, creating employment and raising awareness on the critical synergies that advance communities.
You have an opportunity to be part of development!

RAW TO PRO |

The JSA is proud to champion the incredible talent emerging from Goromonzi’s cultural and creative economy.

Post the bootcamp, we are committed to nurturing grassroots artists —equipping them with the tools, exposure, and support needed to rise to the highest level of their potential.

This is a shared mission. We welcome partnerships with stakeholders across all sectors who are ready to invest in the growth of creative talent and unlock lasting impact.

Lessons Learnt | Voices from the Bootcamp

What happens when talent meets mentorship and opportunity?

In this video, our artists share the valuable lessons they gained during the bootcamp facilitated by JSA and StarBrite. From personal growth and discipline to collaboration and professionalism, each reflection highlights an experience that will continue to shape their artistic journeys.

These insights extend beyond the creative industry - they are life lessons that anyone can embrace to grow, contribute, and make a positive impact within their community.

'It's all about moulding them into better artists.'
Lizzie Pakaenda, Board member of the JSA speaks at the Artists Bootcamp.
There is always a better way of delivering your craft, and it's best understood by the adjudicators of talent.
This is why the bootcamp had professional talent managers to mould the finest and bring out artists of note from Goromonzi.

Goated Moments| Artists in camp were required to slaught£r their own meat. Watch as they slaught£red a goat for supper.
We are not only creating an industry-ready artist, but a social product, a self-sustaining and communally functional individual.
This is how far intentional our bootcamp goes for the future of the creative economy.
