Commissioning of Classroom Block & Piped Water System Malunku Primary School
Today, the 13th of July 2026 the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs & Devolution Hon. R Moyo (MP) officially commissioned a new fully furnished Classroom Block and Piped Water System at Malunku Primary School Ward 17.
The Minister appreciated World Vision Zimbabwe and its partner Ferrovial for complementing Government in terms of social services provision. The project was funded at a total cost of US$72 230.00. Some excerpts from the speech by the Honourable Minister,
'To the pupils who walk through these gates, this school is your oyster, where your curious minds will explore, question, and innovate to reach higher heights than your forbearers. And, to the teachers, remember your dedication and nurturing of these young minds will contribute to making this school a place of excellence that will produce the needed human capital for the nation’s innovators and workforce.
The Second Republic recently introduced the Heritage-based learning framework, which gives learners the leeway to choose practical subjects that address their community needs.
To the learners, please take this investment as a pillar of inspiration. The value of the resources and effort invested in this infrastructure should challenge you to work hard and to improve yourselves academically so that in turn you may be able to further develop this school.'
The event was also graced by Chief Mabhikwa Z Khumalo, Council Chairman V Ncube, DDC E Sithole, DCC Chairman P Sibanda, MoSPAD Directors M Mthethwa and P Moyo, CEO S Hadebe, EOSS B M Sithole, Councillor S Nkala, Headman Ngubo, WV Director K Ndlovu and Lupane ADP Manager S Ncube, among others.
