Farewell Mannenburg - Abdullah Ibrahim
Abdullah Ibrahim world renowned South African jazz legend has died in Germany aged 91. He was mostly known for his jazz album Mannenburg in which many jazz groups across the jazz universe used to play before live shows as a warm up song. I used to enjoy playing the song some donkey years ago during Jazz shows with the Kwekwe jazz group Tropical Jazz at our base at REDCLIFF Drive Inn with the likes of late Joseph Chakanyuka,Tom Alifat,Museka,Nompilo Sixolo and others.
