HIS EXCELLENCY PRESIDENT CDE DR E.D. MNANGAGWA LAUNCHES THE PRESIDENTIAL WAR VETERANS EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME

Remarks by ZANU PF First Secretary and President, E.D. Mnangagwa:

Today, we stand together to honor the sacrifices of our war veterans and to pave a path towards a brighter future for them and their families. I urge all investors to reinvest in our beloved country; by doing so, we can uplift not only our war veterans but also many of our citizens who are currently struggling with poverty.

As part of our commitment to empowering our war veterans, I am pleased to announce the disbursement of an additional US$2 million toward the Presidential War Veterans Fund. This significant amount will be distributed among the four categories of war veterans, with each category receiving US$500,000.

In addition, I am excited to share that 50 tractors will be provided to each of our 10 provinces, specifically targeting the farming sector. This initiative is a vital step in ensuring that our war veterans have the resources they need to thrive in agriculture.

Furthermore, we are committed to empowering our war veterans in the mining sector as well, ensuring that they have the necessary resources and support to succeed.

Let us remember that this fund must operate on principles of discipline and hard work. It is essential that we work together to ensure its success and sustainability for the benefit of our war veterans and our nation as a whole.
