Celebrating Rotary’s 120 Anniversary!!!

On Sunday 23 February we got together as Rotary Clubs from Harare to celebrate 120 years of Rotary. It was on 23 February in 1943 that Paul Harris met with three of his friends marking the beginning of an amazing journey that has given rise to nearly 1.5million Rotarians around the world.

We draw inspiration from this legacy as we strive to make the world as better place. We of course ensure every Rotary experience is as fun as it is meaningful!!!

Join us this week, Thursday 13 June 2024, at the Rotary Senior Citizens Centre as Dr. Hungwe talks to us about farming and food security during her presentation on "Resilence Through the Drought" .

Dr. Ndakaripa Hungwe is a Rural Development Specialist and a Development Facilitator with a PhD degree in Development from Lund University in Sweden. She also holds a Master of Science degree in Policy Studies from the University of Zimbabwe and a BSc degree in Agriculture with a minor in Agricultural Economics from the University of Minnesota in USA.

Dr. Hungwe has worked all over the African continent in development facilitation in areas of governance, local government, gender, food security, livelihoods, community development, evaluation, local economic development, agricultural project management, land and agrarian issues, rural sociology and international development.

She is also the 2023-24 President Elect of the Rotary Club of Harare Central.
