The Tonga people were the first to behold this majestic wonder crafted by the hand of God, and they named it Mosi-oa-Tunya — The Smoke That Thunders. In a spirit of openness, they shared this gift with the world. Yet history took an unjust turn when others chose to rename it, overlooking the people whose lives, culture, and identity have always been tied to this sacred landmark. Restoring the name Mosi-oa-Tunya is more than a correction — it is an act of dignity, respect, and cultural justice. It’s time to honour the original custodians of this wonder and give back the name that has always belonged here. This is the least we can do!
