Living with HIV? Treatment Works!

Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) allows people living with HIV to live long, healthy, and productive lives. When taken consistently, ART reduces the amount of HIV in the body to undetectable levels.

If you have stopped taking your medication, missed appointments, or feel discouraged, it is never too late to restart treatment. Health workers are ready to support you without judgment.

The benefits of ART include:
▪️Stronger immune system
▪️Better health and quality of life
▪️Protection against opportunistic infections
▪️Reduced risk of HIV transmission
▪️Increased life expectancy

Your treatment is your strength. Your health matters. Return to care today and take control of your future!

With support from The Global Fund SASA/OSC project, through the National AIDS Council of Zimbabwe, ZACH continues to advance the ! Together approach through dialogue meetings with religious and community leaders aimed at ending violence against women and girls.

Following earlier facilitated activities, communities are now being supported to take full ownership of the change process by building lasting positive social norms that promote safety, dignity, and equality for women.

The initiative seeks to move communities into the action phase, creating a critical mass of individuals who actively believe that women deserve to live free from violence and who are committed to making that vision a reality.

To strengthen this collective effort, ZACH is enhancing collaboration with the Victim Friendly Unit, Zimbabwe Gender Commission, and Ministry of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprise Development through inclusive dialogue and community engagement. Together, we are building safer and more empowered communities.

In March, the Johane Masowe Apostolic Church opened its first-ever clinic in Chirasavana, Seke District, an important step toward more comprehensive, accessible healthcare.

This milestone reflects the power of respectful dialogue and partnership between ZACH, UDACIZA, and Apostolic sect leaders, promoting health-seeking behaviours while honouring faith and religious values.

Spearheaded by the highly respected Madzibaba Simba, the clinic is equipped with modern medical equipment and staffed by qualified health personnel to provide professional services to the wider community.

More than a clinic, it represents trust, collaboration, and a shared commitment to healthier communities.

ZACH Announces Leadership Transition After 25 Years

After a remarkable 25 years of service, ZACH bids a heartfelt farewell to Executive Director Mrs. Vuyelwa T. Sidile-Chitimbire as she embarks on her well-deserved retirement.

Her leadership transformed ZACH from a small local organization into a respected regional and international player in the health sector. Under her stewardship, ZACH strengthened governance systems, navigated complex funding landscapes, and forged lasting partnerships with CDC and other key stakeholders.

Perhaps most impactful is the strong, professional team she leaves behind, which continues to drive excellence across ZACH and its Mission Hospitals.

As we honour this legacy, we are equally excited to usher in a new era.

The Board appointed Dr. Nonhlanhla Zwangobani as the new Executive Director. With its strategic direction and leadership, ZACH is equipped to adapt to changing health and funding environments and sustain its impact.
