Tripartite Negotiating Forum is representing the country at the UCESA Malabo Meetings, a landmark three-day gathering of African Economic and Social Councils, Chinese partners, development banks, and private sector leaders held from 11 to 13 May 2026 in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea. The meetings address Africa's most pressing development priorities: economic diversification, digital transformation and artificial intelligence, investment attraction, and the creation of decent jobs for African citizens. Zimbabwe's participation carries special weight this year, as it comes against the backdrop of a flourishing bilateral relationship between Zimbabwe and Equatorial Guinea built on eight MoUs signed by His Excellency President E.D Mnangagwa and President Obiang Nguema Mbasogo in 2023 and now being deepened through the inaugural Joint Permanent Commission on Cooperation, with President Mbasogo visiting Harare in 2026 to advance cooperation in mining, agriculture, energy, and air transport.

The dialogue was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development, the Transport Operators Association of Zimbabwe, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), N.E.C Transport, Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe, Organised Business, Organised Labour, Government, Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare Ministry of Justice and Legal and Parliamentary Affairs, Ministry of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage, the Media and different Government Ministries and departments. The engagement created an important platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas, strengthen collaboration, and promote a transport system that prioritises safety, inclusivity, decent working conditions, and quality service delivery for all citizens.

TNF remains committed to fostering social dialogue that drives national development and improves the everyday lives of Zimbabweans through inclusive participation and collective action.
