Today is Menstrual Hygiene Day, and the Let’s Green the Future team is breaking the silence. Menstrual health is a fundamental human right, yet millions of girls and women still face period poverty, social taboos, and a lack of clean water—challenges only amplified by climate change.
True climate justice means advocating for safe, dignified, and sustainable period management. From reducing single-use plastic waste to normalizing everyday conversations, we are committed to building a world where periods are never a barrier to education, leadership, or climate action.
Let’s break the myths and protect our environment, together! ❤️🌱

What an incredible day of youth-led innovation at the Just Transition Innovation Lab! Let’s Green the Future (LGF) was honored to join partners at Shallcross College in Kuwadzana to support the next generation of environmental leaders.
From 09:30 to 13:30, we dove deep into the theme: "Reimagining Our Communities: Youth Solutions for a Just Transition". The energy was electric as 30–50 young ambassadors took the lead in identifying the climate issues affecting their daily lives.
Highlights from the Lab:
• Deep Dives: We moved from symptoms to root causes, discussing how climate change disproportionately impacts women and girls.
• Innovation Sprints: Groups worked tirelessly to define challenges—like reducing coal cooking—and designed solutions with a strong gender lens and a focus on youth leadership.
• The Big Pitch: The day culminated in powerful youth-designed solution pitches, ranging from solar cooking co-ops to community compost-to-income models.
Our Commitment
At Let’s Green the Future, we believe that a "Just Transition" isn't just about renewable energy; it’s about ensuring that those most excluded—especially youth and women—are at the forefront of the green economy.
We are so inspired by the "commitment circle" that closed our session today. The future of Zimbabwe is green, inclusive, and led by the brilliance of our youth! 🌍✨ InclusiveClimateEducation

Progress report for the Children for Climate Justice: Inclusive Climate Education, Tree Restoration, and GBV Prevention in Schools from January to April 2026
The Children for Climate Justice project is funded under the FACE Program, by AFD (Agence Française de Développement) & CCFD-Terre Solidaire and implemented by Let's Green the Future Trust (LGF) & Centre for Children with Disabilities (C4CD) is a comprehensive climate justice initiative addressing the interconnected challenges of climate change, environmental degradation, and gender inequality. The project focuses on empowering over 500 beneficiaries—including students, teachers, and parents—through inclusive climate education and practical environmental action.
By establishing sustainable school climate clubs and leading tree restoration and reforestation activities, the initiative promotes long-term environmental stewardship, biodiversity conservation, and greener school communities. At the same time, the project integrates essential social protection measures by organizing gender-based violence prevention workshops and awareness sessions, ensuring that climate advocacy is inclusive of children with disabilities and firmly connected to the safety, rights, and equality of the wider community

On April 13, 2026, Let’s Green the Future (LGF) and the Center for Children with Disabilities (C4CD) successfully hosted the second workshop in a series dedicated to the intersection of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Climate Change.Following the foundational "social safeguards" established in the inaugural March 28th meeting, this session shifted toward deep community interaction and targeted inclusion. A defining feature of this second meeting was the high representation of persons with disabilities, including children with disabilities and their primary caregivers. By centering the voices of those most vulnerable to both climate-induced displacement and social marginalization, the workshop transitioned from theoretical advocacy to practical, inclusive protection. The session concluded with a reinforced community commitment to linking environmental stewardship directly with the safety and dignity of every child.Participants shared personal stories and experiences, illuminating the unique challenges faced by children with disabilities in the face of climate change. The workshop included interactive discussions and breakout groups that fostered collaborative problem-solving.These discussions were instrumental in generating actionable strategies tailored to the specific needs of affected communities. By fostering a safe space for dialogue, participants were able to openly express their concerns and propose innovative solutions that emphasize resilience and adaptability. The workshop underscored the importance of integrating diverse perspectives in addressing the dual challenges of GBV and climate change.
