Dear Volunteers, Partners and Friends in Service,

This International Volunteer Day reminds us of a simple but powerful truth: Every Contribution Matters. Across Zimbabwe, volunteers show us every day that compassion, solidarity, and service can transform communities.

Your acts of kindness — whether mentoring a young person, supporting a family in distress, empowering persons with disabilities, or strengthening community initiatives — continue to light the way forward. You prove that progress does not come from one grand gesture, but from thousands of small acts of service woven together.

To every volunteer: thank you for your courage and commitment.
To every volunteer-involving organisation: thank you for nurturing spaces where service becomes impact.

This International Volunteer Day reminds us of a profound truth: Every Contribution Matters. Across Zimbabwe and world wide — through the Volunteers Federation (VF), IMCD, VIONet Zimbabwe, VGA, The Forum, IAVE affiliates, and many dedicated community groups — volunteers continue to show that collective action can transform lives and strengthen our nation.

Your acts of service, whether supporting persons with disabilities, empowering youth, uplifting marginalised communities, strengthening volunteer structures, or contributing skills to local development initiatives, are the threads that hold our communities together. You demonstrate every day that progress is built not from one act, but from thousands of meaningful contributions made with commitment and heart.

To all volunteers across our networks: thank you for your courage, compassion, and unwavering commitment to serve.
To volunteer-involving organisations — VF members, IMCD partners, VIONet Zimbabwe affiliates, VGA chapters, Forum members, and the global volunteer community through IAVE — thank you for creating spaces where service becomes dignity, inclusion, and change.

As we celebrate IVD, may we renew our shared mission of building an inclusive, just and empowered Zimbabwe — where every person, every community, and every contribution truly matters.

With appreciation and solidarity,

Let us continue building a Zimbabwe where everyone’s contribution is valued, and where volunteerism remains a powerful force for inclusion, dignity, and development.

In Service to Humanity
