Empowered Women, Safer Communities!
In Hurungwe and Chiwundura RDCs, 16 women-led solar-powered nutrition gardens are changing lives. These gardens have directly empowered 1,524 women, providing sustainable income, water, food, nutrition security, and the strength to stand against any form of violence. The gardens established are more than gardens, they are safe spaces where women come together to discuss challenges, share solutions, and confront issues affecting their lives.
When women have economic independence and supportive spaces, they are less vulnerable to abuse and violence. Empowerment is not just about livelihoods, it’s about dignity, resilience, and economic freedom.
Together, we are proving that economic empowerment is a pathway to ending violence against women and girls. Economically empowered women build strong communities.
