The Zambezi Watercourse Commission (ZAMCOM) met today with key development partners and Riparian States to discuss the mobilization of resources for the Zambezi Strategic Planning (ZSP), a basin-wide framework that provides a guide for investment, development, and management of shared water and related resources.
Participants:
• Development partners: Development Bank, the@ Commonwealth, Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), Meteorological Organization (WMO).
• Riparian states: Ministries of Water, Agriculture, Environment, and Finance from Zambezi Basin countries.
• Task teams: ZAMCOM project teams and focal points for Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) , Climate Fund and Environment Facility.

The Zambezi Watercourse Commission (ZAMCOM) received a grant from the African Development Bank towards the costs of the Regional (ZAMCOM) Project of the Programme for Integrated Development and Adaptation to Climate Change in the Zambezi Basin (PIDACC Zambezi) and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this grant to payments under the contract for Institutional Review and Capacity Development Plan for ZAMCOM individual consultancy services.
