JF Kapnek Zimbabwe has successfully distributed bicycles to Field Agents in Mhondoro-Ngezi and Zvimba districts under the Early Childhood Development Parenting and Internal Savings and Lending Schemes (PAISALs) initiative.

The bicycles will strengthen the mobility and operational capacity of Field Agents, enabling them to reach more communities, effectively mobilise and support existing PAISAL groups, establish new groups, and provide ongoing mentoring and follow-up support to participating parents and caregivers.

As a key component of JF Kapnek Zimbabwe’s Economic Strengthening Programme, PAISALs empower parents and caregivers of ECD learners to strengthen household resilience and build sustainable livelihoods through savings, lending, and income-generating activities.

When Field Agents go further, communities can go further too.💪

This week, we are in Vumba for the OVC Programmes Annual Review and Planning Workshop where our teams have come together to evaluate our work, celebrate progress and identify areas requiring renewed focus.

The workshop provides an opportunity to learn from experience, strengthen programme approaches and develop innovative solutions that promote sustainability and lasting impact for the communities we serve.

Together, we are strengthening our programmes, planning for the future and reaffirming our commitment to meaningful and sustainable change.

It’s a wrap! 🌍✨ What an inspiring week of learning, connection and meaningful youth participation!

Yesterday, the Youth Panel engaged with key stakeholders from the Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare, FODPZ-Federation of Organisations of Disabled People in Zimbabwe., Department of Disability Affairs, Deaf Zimbabwe Trust, Childline Zimbabwe, National Association of Societies for the Care of the Handicapped and UNICEF Zimbabwe.

We were also honoured by the presence of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Zimbabwe, Mr Matthijs van Euewen, who joined us to appreciate the Youth Panel and its role in amplifying the voices of young people with disabilities.

Facilitated by the Liliane Fonds, the initiative creates platforms for young people with disabilities to participate meaningfully, influence programmes and strengthen representation within Community-Based Rehabilitation efforts.

This week, together with the US Deparment of State, National AIDS Council of Zimbabwe, Organization for Public Health Interventions and Development -OPHID, Population Solutions for Health, Zimbabwe Health Interventions - ZHI and CeSHHAR Zimbabwe, we successfully conducted an institutionalisation progress visit in Masvingo Province.

The engagement focused on reviewing progress, sharing insights and strengthening partnerships to support the sustainable integration of programme interventions into local structures and systems, ensuring continued service delivery and community impact.

“Declaring Deaf People’s Human Rights” calls on us to move beyond recognition to action, breaking barriers, promoting accessible communication and ensuring inclusive, quality education for all deaf people.

Through our Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) program in partnership with disability service organisations in Zimbabwe, we build communities where deaf people can communicate, participate, learn, and thrive on an equal basis.

Let us champion equality, accessibility, and inclusion.
