Last week’s ECOFLOW climate art and peer advocacy session in Epworth was truly eye-opening.

28 young mothers and women explored real issues affecting their communities from teenage pregnancies to water pollution and environmental hazards. They expressed these issues through drama and painting.

It was amazing watching them step into action. They didn’t just talk about problems they demonstrated how they can use different platforms to speak up, seek help, and drive change.

We are excited to be back in Epworth as the EcoFlow Project, in partnership with the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training, resumes!

Yesterday, we took a powerful step into sustainable livelihoods through a hands-on vermiculture session facilitated by Mr. Zabron from Fambidzanai Permaculture Centre. The 27 young women learned how to create vermicompost turning organic waste into nutrient rich fertiliser.

It may be just the beginning, but the impact is already clear. The girls are inspired and excited about the opportunity to produce organic fertilisers and potentially build an income from it.

Yesterday marked a powerful moment as we launched the second cohort of the Ecoflow Project with young women and young mothers in Epworth.

This programme is being implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training, bringing together young women from different areas in Epworth.

The session was filled with meaningful and comprehensive discussions on climate change exploring its causes, impacts on our communities, and practical mitigation and adaptation measures.

Participants shared their lived experiences, reflecting on how climate change affects their livelihoods and contributing thoughtful, community-driven solutions for a safer and healthier environment. We also explored sustainable and environmentally friendly ways of disposing of sanitary wear an important step toward both climate and menstrual health justice.

We are excited to share that we are now officially registered with the Zimbabwe Youth Council.

This milestone brings us one step closer to becoming a fully compliant organization dedicated to empowering adolescent girls and young women through climate literacy, leadership, and confidence-building.

Thank you for being part of our journey as we continue to create safe spaces, amplify voices, and drive climate action together.
