Society of St. Vincent de Paul - Zimbabwe The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is an international voluntary association for the ministry of charity, of Catholic lay persons

Today, the Society is in 150 countries throughout the world and has more than 1,000,000 volunteer members. The Society is held together by the idea that men and women should give of themselves through charity, which means love. The vocation of the Society's members, “Vincentian brothers and sisters”, is to follow Christ through service to those in need and so bear witness to His compassionate and

liberating love. Through personal contact and in the spirit of justice and charity, members of the Society aim to relieve suffering and promote human dignity, regardless of “race, creed, colour, origin or caste”. The society is concerned not only with relieving need but also with redressing the situations that cause it.
