🚀 Empowering the Next Generation of Digital Champions! 📱✨

​We are thrilled to share that the Advocacy for Generation Digital (A4GD) programme Training of Trainers (ToT) has officially concluded at Headquarters!

​A4GD is an exciting brand-new programme by World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts that we are rolling out to champion digital safety, cyber-equity, and online advocacy for girls and young women across Zimbabwe.

​Over two days of intensive, interactive sessions, trainers from our target provinces gained the tools and knowledge to foster safe online spaces and digital well-being outcomes in their communities. Each trainer has committed to cascade this training to secondary trainers and reach young people in their local units with this amazing programme!

​Stay tuned as our newly equipped lead trainers take A4GD to the provinces! 🌍💙

Strengthening Institutional Capacity & Sisterhood: GGAZ x TGGA Learning Visit! 🇹🇿🇿🇼☘️

​The Girl Guides Association of Zimbabwe (GGAZ) recently completed a highly successful 3-day institutional learning exchange with the Tanzania Girl Guides Association (TGGA) in Dar es Salaam!

Represented by our Chief Commissioner and Project Manager, this visit marked a major step forward in cross-border collaboration and organizational growth.

​Through interactive sessions and knowledge sharing, both associations explored key strategies to enhance guiding experiences and build robust operational systems, including:
​🏛️ Best practices for governance structures and institutional accountability.
​💡 Innovative fundraising strategies, social entrepreneurship capacity building, and financial transparency.
​👩‍👧‍👧 Strategies for supporting members across all age brackets—from Sunbeams and Brownies to Young Leaders and Guiders
​📋 Insights into strategic planning, membership growth, and institutional strengthening to better serve our girls.

​Looking Ahead:
This visit concluded with a clear, actionable roadmap for long-term collaboration, including capacity-building sessions, joint partnership initiatives, and regular engagement between our institutions.

🌟 Building Sustainable Foundations for Every Girl Guide! 🌟

​From August 25–26, the Girl Guides Association of Zimbabwe (GGAZ) hosted a transformative 1.5-Day Fit for Work, Fit for Life: Social Entrepreneurship, Sustainability, and Income Generation Training at National Headquarters!

​We were thrilled to bring together 30 participants—including dedicated Guiders, dynamic Young Leaders, National Executive Board members, and GGAZ Staff. Having our national leadership actively engage alongside our unit leaders demonstrated true institutional innovation and unified commitment to our vision.
​
By shifting our focus toward social entrepreneurship and practical financial literacy, our units will gain support and become equipped to launch their own income-generating initiatives. This independence will allow local units to meaningfully fund their own membership and unit activities —ensuring financial constraints never stand in the way of a girl's Guiding journey.

​A huge thank you to all participants who committed to cascading these vital skills other units. Together, we are building a resilient, self-sustaining movement across Zimbabwe! 🇿🇼✨

Adventure, Sisterhood & Lifelong Memories at the Mashonaland South Province Camp! ☘️🏕️✨

​What an unforgettable time we had! The Mashonaland South Province Camp brought together our entire Guiding family—from our youngest Sunbeams and Brownies to our vibrant Guides, Rangers, Young Leaders, and dedicated Guiders.
​It was a true celebration of sisterhood, growth, and outdoor fun! 🌿
​Highlights from our camp adventure included:
​🔥 Campfire Magic: Songs, laughter, and bonding around the glowing fire.
​🏇 Outdoor Thrills: Heart-pumping zip lining, horse riding, and energizing morning aerobics.
​🤝 Team Building: Hands-on activities and challenges that strengthened our bonds across all age groups.
​📜 Celebrating Achievement: Awarding certificates of participation to honor every camper's journey and spirit.

​The WAGGGS World Conference may have come to an end, but the Girl Guides Association of Zimbabwe is still celebrating the incredible fruits of our meaningful participation on the global stage!
​Please join us in celebrating the phenomenal leadership of our very own:
​🌟 Rumbidzai Tazviwana – Honored as a WAGGGS Honorary Associate for her dedicated volunteer service on the Finance and Audit Committee.
​🌟 Lucia Ndanga – Honored as a WAGGGS Honorary Associate for her invaluable contributions to Guiding at the World and Regional committee levels .
