Confidence is cool, but taking action to protect it is a superpower! 💥🦸🏾‍♀️

We recently took our global Free Being Me movement to Hatfield Primary School, and the girls didn’t just learn about self-esteem—they became advocates! We challenged them to look at how appearance anxiety stops girls from participating in school, sports, and leadership, and the ideas they came up with to change their school environment were absolutely inspiring. 🏫✨
By training these young change-makers to challenge unrealistic beauty standards, we are creating a ripple effect of body confidence across the community. They are officially taking a stand to say: Our worth is defined by our actions, our minds, and our hearts—not our appearance! 🗣️✊🏾

🌟The future of leadership is bold, authentic, and completely free to be itself. Let’s keep taking action! 🇿🇼💙

Happy Monday, family! ✨ Let’s start the work week by reflecting on why the mission to empower the girl child never stops.

Recently, GGAZ held a successful membership drive and Free Being Me session at Alaska Primary School. The feedback we received from the school was both heartbreaking and a massive wake-up call: they shared that this session was incredibly timely because some children at this very early age have actually been bleaching their skin just to fit into the unrealistic beautystandards. 😢💔.

This is exactly why we do what we do. Our Free Being Me curriculum is designed to dismantle these harmful pressures early. We spent the day teaching these beautiful young girls to love themselves exactly as they are, focusing deeply on their intrinsic value.

Appearance anxiety should never limit a girl’s confidence, block her from participating in social activities, or stop her from stepping into leadership! 🙅🏾‍♀️✊🏾

Our day out in Chinhoyi was about co-creating a brave space where every girl is reminded that she is enough🩵, 🌟 gathering together to unpack true beauty and self-esteem and fostering 📝 active learning and engagement from the next generation of confident leaders.

Let us carry this purpose into the new week. True beauty is being completely, unapologetically yourself! 👑🇿🇼

Unstoppable energy at Ezekiel Guti Primary School! 🌟🎒

We had a fantastic time hosting a Girl Guides membership drive activity and a life-changing Free Being Me session with the wonderful girls! The turnout was incredible, and the girls were so engaged plus over 70 girls eager to join.

Through interactive activities, we focused on boosting body confidence and celebrating self-esteem, showing these young women that they are perfect just as they are! 💖 We also had strong leadership support and captured the joy of friendship that Guiding creates.

Looking at their smiles and determination —this is what empowering the next generation of Zimbabwean leaders looks like! 🇿🇼💪🏾

Strengthening our roots to expand our reach! 🌍✨
We recently wrapped up a highly successful capacity-strengthening training session for our dedicated Guiders at St. Francis of Assisi! Our leaders spent valuable time sharpening their skills, deepening their knowledge of the Guiding method, and preparing to nurture the next generation of confident young women.
We were deeply honored to have the District Schools Inspector (DSI) from Chikomba in attendance. The DSI formally endorsed the powerful, positive impact that Girl Guiding has on the character and development of young girls, emphasizing a vital truth: the Girl Guide movement needs to be present everywhere. 🏫🇿🇼
With this incredible institutional backing, we are more motivated than ever to grow our family and bring Guiding to every corner of the community! 🩵

Smart girls surf smart! 💻🌐✨
As the digital world expands, ensuring our girls know how to navigate the internet safely, responsibly, and confidently is more critical than ever. The Girl Guides Association of Zimbabwe (GGAZ) recently hosted an interactive Surfsmart Programme session with the brilliant young girls from Nagle House.
From understanding digital identity to recognizing online risks, we are breaking down barriers and providing girls with the armor they need to thrive online without fear. 🛡️✊🏾
Because digital safety isn't a luxury—it's a fundamental necessity for the generation shaping tomorrow.

Today, May 28th, the Girl Guides Association of Zimbabwe joins the global community to mark Menstrual Hygiene Day🩸.

Menstruation is completely natural, yet clean water, safe toilets, and affordable sanitary products remain out of reach for too many. We believe that proper menstrual hygiene management (MHM) is a fundamental right tied directly to a girl's education, health, and human dignity.

When we give girls the tools and knowledge to manage their cycles safely, we keep them in the classroom and empower them to become the leaders of tomorrow. 🎒🏢

Let us break the taboos, change the narrative, and ensure that hygiene is a priority, not a privilege for a select few!

What is your community doing to support period dignity? Let us know in the comments below! 👇🏾✨

Sparkle exactly as you are! ✨💖

We recently had the most wonderful time hosting a Free Being Me session with the brilliant girls at Riverside Primary! 🎒🏫 Together, we dived into fun activities focused on boosting self-esteem, celebrating our uniqueness, and building body confidence.

In a world full of narrow beauty standards, we are teaching our girls that their worth comes from who they are on the inside. True beauty is being completely, unapologetically yourself! 🌟✊🏾
