BEYOND THE CYCLE DISTRIBUTION DAY

What a meaningful and impactful day at Hupenyu Hutsva Children’s Home this weekend ❤️

Through our *Beyond the Cycle Campaign*, we had the privilege of engaging both girls and boys in important conversations around:
📚 Menstrual Health & Hygiene
🧼 Personal Hygiene
💡 Age-appropriate Sexual and Reproductive Health Education

Our goal was not only to provide information but also to break stigma, build confidence, and create a supportive environment where young people can learn, ask questions, and make informed decisions.

We were also delighted to donate:
🩷 Sanitary wear
🪒 Shaving sticks
🧦 Socks

to support the well-being and dignity of the children.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible partners, *Empowered Women, Mentor Me Please, and World March of Women Zimbabwe NCB , for standing with us to make this initiative a success. Together, we are ensuring that no child is left behind due to a lack of information, resources, or support.

When we educate, empower, and equip young people, we invest in a brighter future for all. 🌍✨

EMPOWERING WOMEN THROUGH KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

On 14 May we had the privilege of facilitating a Financial Literacy and Marketing Training with our Kuwadzana Group.

The session focused on equipping women with practical knowledge on:
✅ Managing personal and business finances
✅ Budgeting and saving effectively
✅ Understanding profit and business growth
✅ Marketing products and services strategically

Economic empowerment begins with knowledge. When women understand how to manage their finances and market their businesses effectively, they are better positioned to create sustainable livelihoods, support their families, and contribute to community development.

We are inspired by the enthusiasm, participation, and commitment shown by the women of Kuwadzana as they continue to invest in their growth and entrepreneurial journey.

Together, we are building financially empowered women, stronger businesses, and thriving communities.

✨ EMPOWERING WOMEN THROUGH SKILLS DEVELOPMENT ✨

On the 5th of May our DZ Women participated in an impactful skills training session on **Chemical Safety and Washing Powder Production** 🧼🧤

The training focused on:
✅ Safe handling of chemicals
✅ Protective measures in production
✅ Correct mixing techniques

Women were equipped with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in making washing powder, a valuable skill that can help create sustainable livelihoods and support household incomes.

This initiative is part of our continued commitment to empowering women economically through practical, community-based skills training. When women gain skills, families and communities grow stronger 💪🏾🌍

Together, we are building confident, skilled, and economically empowered women.

ZGC is the only body mandated by Section 246 to not just "monitor" but to "investigate" and "secure redress" for gender violations that would otherwise be dismissed as "cultural norms."

🌟 *Training Tuesday Highlights* 🌟

Today marked an important step in our **Skills Development Journey** 💼✨

We kicked off our first training focusing on **Financial Literacy & Managing a Small Home Business** — equipping our participants with practical knowledge to turn their skills into sustainable income 💪🏽

📚 *What we covered:*
✔ Separating business money from home money
✔ Tracking income and expenses effectively
✔ Understanding profit — what you really earn after costs
✔ The importance of saving daily for emergencies and growth

This session was all about building a strong foundation — because every successful business starts with **good financial habits** 🌱

We are proud to be empowering communities with not just skills, but the knowledge to grow, manage, and sustain their businesses 💜

✨ *This is just the beginning…*

DID YOU KNOW?

• Did you know that April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month? 💜

▪︎ A time to raise our voices, support survivors, and stand against abuse.

▪︎ Sexual assault can affect anyone—but women and girls are the most impacted.

▪︎ We must create safe spaces where survivors are heard, believed, and supported.

▪︎ Silence protects the abuser, not the victim.
Speak up. Break the silence. Your voice matters.

▪︎ Consent is key.
“No” means NO.
And silence is NOT consent.

▪︎ Let’s educate, empower, and uplift each other.
Together, we can end gender-based violence.

▪︎ This April, choose to stand for dignity, respect, and safety for all women. 💜

We had a successful community meeting in Dzivarasekwa 2, where Mrs Hloka introduced our mission of empowering women through skills training for financial independence. 💪🏽✨

The response was very positive, with many women showing interest in both the training program and the Beyond Bold group, which focuses on gender-based violence awareness and mental health support.

Community members also shared their ideas, including learning to make products like Vaseline and baobab juice, and raised important questions about marketing support after training.

We are excited to move forward as more women continue to register, and we look forward to starting the training soon! @🌸
