VAKOMA TRUST helps young people who face serious adversity and those who have little opportunity to develop positive and supportive relationships with adults. By positively changing the course of a young person's life, VAKOMA TRUST tries to build resilience and a sense of self-worth that helps young students to stay at school, improve their relationships with families and their community which
in turn leads to long-term community benefits such as an increase in school retention; school and community safety; and greater employment opportunities. VAKOMA TRUST also fosters relationships aimed at high-level leaderships and personal development within a structured timeframe for high school students. Throughout the mentorship process, Mentees work toward goals and establish personal accountability, while Mentors support them through next-level education and engagement.
