Happy to our Frontline Heroes! ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ผ๐Ÿฉบ

Today we honor the men and women who are the first to arrive and the last to leave. From rural clinics in Mhondoro-Ngezi to our busiest referral hospitals, nurses provide more than just medical care - they provide hope.

Investing in nursing is not just a health choice; it is an economic one. A supported nurse means a healthier community and a stronger Zimbabwe.

Join us in saying THANK YOU to a nurse who has touched your life. Post their name in the comments!

Knowledge is Power: Why the Matters

Did you know that as a patient, you have the right to privacy, information, and a second medical opinion? But you also have the responsibility to provide accurate health history to your doctors.

We urge the Ministry of Health and Child Care to launch a nationwide campaign to popularise the Patients Charter. When both patients and health staff understand these "rules of engagement," we reduce conflict, improve trust, and ensure better health outcomes for everyone.

Letโ€™s move from confusion to collaboration!

"Action Saves Lives โ€“ Safer Care Starts with Clean Hands"

Today, on World Hand Hygiene Day, we remind all communities that washing your hands with soap and water is the simplest way to stay healthy.

To our Schools: Teachers and students, letโ€™s lead the way! Regular handwashing prevents diarrhea, flu, and other common illnesses that keep children away from their studies.

Take Action: Wash your hands after using the toilet, before eating, and after playing outside. A healthy community starts with you!

Health is Your Right and Responsibility!!!

This , our theme "For Every Generation, Vaccines Work" is only possible because of your dedication.

We urge all VHWs to continue mobilizing communities for Polio, Measles, and HPV vaccines even after April 30. Your work is the foundation of our health system, and it is time you are recognized and rewarded accordingly for your tireless service.

(24-30 April 2026)

Immunization is not just a childhood milestone; it is a life-long shield. Whether it is preventing Measles outbreaks, protecting our daughters from cervical cancer through the HPV vaccine, or maintaining our Polio-free status, vaccines are the foundation of a healthy nation.

CWGH's Call to Action: We urge the government to step up nationwide campaigns and prioritize funding for cold-chain infrastructure and frontline health workers.

To the Community: Protect your familyโ€™s future. Ensure everyone in your household is up to date with their shots!
