BACKGROUND & SUMMARY

Advocates of Hope Zimbabwe is a Child and Youth Led Organisation founded on the 5th of June 2018 to advocate for the full recognition and promotion of child rights and other related issues that affect children and young people. The organisation was established by the former Junior Town Clerk of Harare City Junior Council 2017 together with a few of his colleagues as a mechanism to address the challenges and child rights violations affecting children and young people in the society. Advocates of Hope’ work covers all areas within the jurisdiction of Harare Province and envisions to spread its scope of coverage throughout Zimbabwe by 2025. The organization focuses on Child and Youth participation, Child Rights Advocacy, Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, Exploitation of children and youths, Drug and Substance abuse, Leadership, life skills and other issues pertinent to the well-being of children in Harare and beyond. We run under the motto; Children’s Rights, My Responsibility, Your Responsibility, Our Responsibility.
