Centre of Hope presented at the Possibility Ministries camp meeting held at Chibvuti campsite today, before a gathering of around 300 campers.
Our brief: self-empowerment and entrepreneurship.
What that looked like in practice:
— Identifying viable income streams that match a person's actual skills and setting
— The basics of running a small enterprise: costing, pricing, record-keeping, customers
— Facilitated group discussions where participants worked through their own ideas out loud
— Moving the conversation from support received to value created
Economic independence is not a side benefit of ministry. For many people at the camp, it is the ministry.
