Happy Africa Day from Envision Zimbabwe Women's Trust! 🇿🇼

Today, we celebrate the beautiful diversity, rich cultural heritage, and unstoppable spirit of the African continent. This year’s Africa Day focus is on securing sustainable water and sanitation for all. We know that in our rural communities, women are at the heart of this mission. They walk the miles, care for our families, and work together to protect our natural resources.

At Envision, we see firsthand how empowering women transforms entire villages. From establishing financial independence through savings circles to leading local peacebuilding and dialogue, African women are the architects of a brighter tomorrow.

Let us continue to support grassroots, community-led solutions that protect our people, nurture our land, and preserve our peace.

Happy 46th Independence Day, Zimbabwe! 🇿🇼

Today we celebrate our nation and the heart of our nation: the women.

We believe that true national development is only possible when every voice is heard and every community is at peace. From all our community engagement initiatives, we see every day how unity in action creates lasting change. When women are empowered to lead in conflict transformation and economic growth, the path to development becomes clearer for everyone.

Let us continue to build a peaceful and prosperous Zimbabwe, together.

We recently spent the past week in Hurungwe District (Ward 15) working with a group of determined women ready to transform their futures. Through our latest workshop, Envision Zimbabwe focused on building economic resilience through training on Financial Literacy and Peacebuilding

Through Income Savings and Lending Groups (ISALs) that bring about local income-generating activities, women have been empowered to gain economic independence. Additionally, peaceful community dynamics are also the brought about by integrating conflict transformation strategies to ensure economic growth.

When women have the tools to lead, the entire household thrives. This , we aren’t just celebrating progress, we are building it.

In the heat of the remote Hurungwe District, distance is often a huge obstacle to peace. For the Women Peace Champions (WPCs) of Ward 15, responding to community disputes used to mean long, grueling treks on foot.

Thanks to the generous support of Peace Direct and Australian Embassy, Zimbabwe, that has changed.

Now equipped with professional uniforms and bicycles, our WPCs can move swiftly and safely. This increased mobility and visibility ensures that no conflict goes unaddressed, no matter how remote the location within the community.
