SOS Children’s Villages in Zimbabwe is a private, non-political and non-denominational developmental organisation. SOS Children's Villages in Zimbabwe also aims to improve the quality of life in the communities in which we operate b

y making care, education and health care available to children and their families directly. We help families and communities to become strong so they can take care of their children better. Our hope for our children is that they grow up to become independent, responsible, and productive members of society. SOS Children’s Villages in Zimbabwe is found in three locations, namely, Bindura, Waterfalls (Harare), and Bulawayo. VISION

A special afternoon filled with laughter, pride, and unforgettable moments! 😊❤️✨

SOS Children's Villages Zimbabwe National Director, Mr. Makunura, hosted a luncheon for our award-winning young people from SOS Ghana International College and their SOS Mothers as they begin their holiday break.

It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their achievements, strengthen family bonds, and honour the dedication and care that continue to nurture their success. ❤️

Here's to excellence, togetherness, and creating memories that last a lifetime!

Men’s Mental Health Month💙💙

This Men’s Mental Health Month, SOS Children’s Villages Zimbabwe encourages men and boys to prioritize their mental well-being. Seeking support, speaking openly, and checking in on one another are important steps toward healthier lives and stronger communities.

Your mental health matters. Let's break the stigma and support each other.

Strong children need strong protectors.
Child care workers & SOS Children’s Village community volunteers are key in spotting risks, referring cases, and reporting abuse early.

SOS Children’s Villages & Department of Social Development (DSD) recently trained CCWs from Wards 3,4 and 26 in Shamva and SOS Children’s Villages Community Volunteers in a 2-day workshop to build skills in case identification and reporting.
Because every child deserves safety, care, and a chance to thrive.

At Zvandiri, protecting personal data is a core part of our child protection and safeguarding approach. Secure handling of sensitive information helps prevent harm, reduces misuse, and upholds the dignity, confidentiality, and trust of the children, adolescents and young people we serve.

We had the honour of participating in the Potraz 3rd National Data Privacy Symposium in Bulawayo, engaging with regulators, practitioners, and policy leaders on advancing data protection in Zimbabwe.

“Safeguarding the data of the children, adolescents and young people that we support is central to our work. Platforms like this strengthen our approach and reinforce the trust we continue to build with the communities we serve.”
— Chamunorwa Tambara, Senior IT Officer, Zvandiri

Through continued collaboration with POTRAZ, we strengthen our commitment to safeguarding and to building lasting trust through responsible data protection practices.
