ADRA Zimbabwe is seeking a qualified consultant or consulting firm to conduct an end-of-project evaluation for the Participatory School Development Project (PSDP) in Nyaminyami District, Mashonaland West Province. This project, funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, has made significant strides in improving education through infrastructure development, capacity building, and increased access to education for out-of-school children.
Key Objectives of the Evaluation:
Verify ADRA Zimbabwe's achievements as reported.
Assess the project's performance, value for money, and impact on the community.
Evaluation Focus Areas:
Relevance to SDGs and target beneficiaries.
Effectiveness and efficiency of project delivery.
Sustainability of project benefits.
Impact on community capacity and inclusion of vulnerable groups.
Requirements:
Minimum three years of experience in program/project evaluation in an international development context.
Expertise in education programming and results-based monitoring and evaluation.
Ability to design and conduct both qualitative and quantitative research.

Rain Gauges for Lead Farmers in Mbire and Muzarabani

In anticipation of this year's rains, lead farmers in the USAID-funded ACER project last week received rain gauges, an essential tool especially considering significant changes in weather patterns.

Precise measurements of rainfall are crucial for understanding local weather patterns and making informed decisions. This helps farmers plan their calendars and produce better yields.

We hope this year farmers all over Zimbabwe and especially in Mbire and Muzarabani can enjoy a good wet season.

That's why with Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan & 国際協力NGO　アドラ・ジャパン（ADRA Japan） we are building school infrastructure in Kariba to ensure they can have the best possible learning facilities and love going to school even more 💚.

Community Gardens in Binga

In drought prone places like Binga, it is often difficult for communities to access fresh and clean water for their domestic and agricultural needs.

It is to solve such difficulties that in partnership with WFP & ADRA Switzerland we installed a 43, 000ltrs steel water tank and 10, 000ltrs water tank at the Namasuntu Garden to assist the local community with access to water for their gardening.

Here Adam Dhimba proudly shows us his vegetable bed.
