Empowering young women with knowledge, confidence, and voice 💜

HOPE for Adolescents and Youth conducted a refresher training with Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYWs), strengthening their capacity in advocacy, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), family planning, TB, and malaria awareness.

Through this engagement, AGYWs deepened their understanding, sharpened their advocacy skills, and strengthened their role as peer educators and community change-makers.

When young women are informed and empowered, they don’t just transform their own lives they uplift entire communities.

A memorable day at Butler Farm after powerful CSE session by Hope with AGYW on intergenerational relationships and unplanned pregnancy. Young women spoke honestly about why older partners can seem attractive, money, status, perceived maturity and also about manipulation, loss of independence, STI/HIV risk and the real danger of unplanned pregnancy. Knowledge was strong, but so were the structural pressures that make risky choices feel necessary. We’re committed to pairing education with practical support: youth‑friendly family planning, life skills, and economic alternatives so girls can choose safety and their futures.
