On Saturday, 1 August, the Albino Charity Organisation of Zimbabwe (ALCOZ) held its monthly beneficiaries' meeting at the Charity Home in Unit B, Seke. The meeting was attended by 74 beneficiaries, providing an important platform for engagement, learning, and mutual support.
Key issues affecting Persons with Albinism (PWA), including discrimination, climate change, health, protection, and social inclusion, were openly discussed. These conversations continue to empower beneficiaries with knowledge, strengthen advocacy efforts, and promote unity within the albinism community.
As part of our ongoing commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of Persons with Albinism, beneficiaries received essential protective items including sunscreen lotions, lip balms, sanitary wear, sunglasses, and sun hats.
The meeting was more than just a gathering—it was a space for encouragement, empowerment and hope. Together, we continue to build a society where Persons with Albinism are protected, included, respected and given equal opportunities to thrive.
Together, we are stronger. Together, we are creating lasting change. 💛
