Access to quality basic education is a right for every child, whether from a developed country or from a country that is developing!! Unless there are individual adults who are ready to sacrifice one or two things and take a bold stand to ensure this right is realized, a majority of children will continue to be deprived of this fundamental right. Through EddWell Foundation, orphans and other most vulnerable children identified jointly between schools and school communities (School Management Committees) are accessing primary education, with full school fees paid and learning material provided. This is the case for the six children from Hama St Joseph’s Primary School in Chirumanzu District, Zimbabwe below who have been receiving support for some years. From left to right: Makomborero Nhambu (Grade 6); Clariet Musindo (Grade 5); Panashe Jere (Grade 3); Tinashe Takawira (Grade 5); Fungai Tazvivinga (Grade 5) and Washington Nyati (Grade 5). Beyond supporting education, the Foundation seeks to put the most vulnerable children at the centre of all critical services including health care, safe water, information, and other protection services, ensuring all children achieve their full potential. This is made possible through contributions from all individuals who know that positive change does not just happen on its own, but it is made to happen through combined efforts. You can also make a difference. One step at a time.
