CALL FOR GENDER-RESPONSIVE AND INCLUSIVE ACTION AMIDST HAILSTORMS AND EXTREME WEATHER!

The Women's Coalition of Zimbabwe (WCoZ) expresses deep concern over recent hailstorms and severe thunderstorms that have damaged homes, crops, vehicles, infrastructure, and livelihoods. Vulnerable groups including women, children, older persons, and persons with disabilities face heightened challenges in accessing timely information, reaching safety, and responding to these emergencies.

In response, WCoZ is calling for timely information, inclusive early-warning systems, gender-responsive disaster preparedness, and coordinated action to safeguard lives, protect livelihoods, and secure essential infrastructure.

We urge the public to remain vigilant and follow official weather and emergency warnings.
