The recent World Food Safety Day Conference, held in Harare under the theme "Food Safety: Science in Action" was an insightful event that provided a unique platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and the development of innovative solutions to ensure the future of safe and sustainable food systems in Zimbabwe.
The delegates in attendance represented a diverse range of stakeholders, including food manufacturers, food retailers, pest control and fumigation service providers, hygiene service providers, training service providers, and certification bodies, as well as technology service providers.
Ms Doris Kumbawa, CEO at Ethics 360 was the Master of Ceremonies for the event.

Mr Charles Msipa, Schweppes Zimbabwe's longest-serving managing director, who retired from the company effective April 2025, received an award in recognition of his leadership towards food safety and quality organisation.
