Today, we facilitated a Provincial Dialogue on Women’s Participation in Decision-Making and Peacebuilding in Bindura in partnership with UN Women Zimbabwe, Ministry of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Dev. and Embassy of Ireland, Pretoria.

The dialogue provided a safe and inclusive space for government stakeholders, Faith-Based Organisations, and Community-Based Organisations drawn from 5 provinces to engage in open discussions. Participants shared experiences, reflected on best practices, and documented lessons learned from their respective provinces on advancing women’s meaningful participation.

The discussions centered on existing barriers to women’s participation and practical strategies to address them. Participants made concrete commitments to promote women’s meaningful participation in governance structures, peace committees, and community decision-making platforms.

With Peace Huts, faith and traditional leaders on board, and a clear action plan, we are collectively strengthening local systems that support women’s participation in decision‑making.
