Support eachothers journies...

Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother's way.

Are you equipped?
::
Usually equipping entails equipment being given but we realised some times tools are not all that tangible..
::
When our minds are working below capacity and beneath our potential greatness, we are not capable of handling most things in life.
::
As we engage people with various content that enlightens their minds and informs their way of doing things, we equip them so they are better able to pursue the lives they wish to lead.

How equipped is your mind for you to start working towards the quality of life you want? -profit

Community....
::.
Our sense of community is tested the most in times of adversity..Right now we are tested in different ways to preserve or uphold a good sense of community. Sometimes it has meant looking inward to see what we can change about how we treat or think of others, sometimes its been looking outward to see where we can lend a hand or share a kind word...
Whichever community you are a part of, think pf them today and how you can make a difference..

We all bleed the same and right now the world is hurting.
:................
As we march, as we chant, as we put pen to paper, as we stand together in whatever form of solidarity, May we bring forth solutions that breakdown the flawed systems and create a new world that embraces humanity in all its beautifully unique traits.

Africans..
:::::::::::::::::::::::
We are a people who believe in standing together, good times or bad. The notion of Ubuntu is ,I am because you are which just means no man can be an island. We are all connected and there is no time that has taught us this than this one.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
It has been tough to feel together when we have to be apart but we have learnt how to show community and togetherness in many ways.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
As we continue in Ubuntu let us know how you would like to be involved in our aid drive for some vulnerable communities in Zimbabwe . Each effort goes a long way..

A little goes a long way...
:::::
With the help we have received so far we have managed to do some good work in a number of communities. We have helped 3little boys and their grandmother who recently suffered a stroke, a couple who were both casual workers at a preschool and their 4 children, a single mother and her 3 children, one of which is a cancer patient. These are just some of the stories of the people we have met during our aid distribution.
::::::
As they mostly relied on informal means of survival like street selling , part time work and other menial jobs, life is going to be different for them for a while. With your continued support we can keep helping them with food while we come up with more sustainable solutions for them for their livelihoods .
::::::::::
As we thank for partnering with us on this initiative and everyone out there who has spread our message, donated to the cause and alerted us of a family in need. All these efforts are appreciated, let's keep going,

small actions + lots of people = big changes

Together we can
:
Zimbabwe has a population where most households rely on informal sector for their livelihood and income generation. With the COVID-19 outbreak , we went into lockdown and now that it has been partially lifted the effects are still devastating.
:
With movements still restricted many of these vulnerable families are living in a new normal unable to revert to how they survived before.
:
Many are now at risk of starvation
:
So with whatever you can,donation, beneficiary identification or spreading this word, help us support these families in need. We will be putting together food packs with the funds received and delivering to these families.
:
All updates will be shared on our social media handles as we bring hope to these families

This week our focus was on forgiveness. Some of the traits whether its for you or by you, FORGIVENESS:
•is an act of the heart whether for yourself or for others it will take love to help you do this
• requires boundaries to be set so you don't have constant reminders of what happened
• is for you and how the next person responds is their responsibility. ( when you ask to be forgiven evenif they haven't release yourself from that burden)
( when you forgive someone evenig they don't change release the pain of what they did)
• takes strength of character
•frees your mind and heart from resentment and bitterness
• frees you from guilt and self condemnation
:
May we all start to live lighter and free of the toxic cycles of unforgiveness. You are strong enough start letting go, its harder not to!💞💞💞

Own your journey!
:
It takes a lot to face what troubles us and heal from it. Many of us procrastinate and hold off on dealing with our emotional wounds because we fear we won't be able to handle what it comes with.
:
Use the tools we have shared in the past 3 weeks so u can go on this journey. As we go through this COVID-19 season its important to take care of our mental health and it starts with wellness.
:
Mental Wellness is not about arriving at a destination.
It's about discovering how much better your life can be as you lose the different anchors that have been holding you down in life.
:
So go on and start today 😊

Strategic Introspection
:
This is what week 2 of the MENTAL WELLNESS WORKOUT covered. Knowing what happens internally is important in learning how to deal with what happens around us. What is happening when you make decisions? How are you using what you have to help you deal with stuff? How are you handling your fears?
:
Life will always bring different things to us but our internal process also determines how well we cope.
:
As we go through COVID-19 let's do our best to build up our will power and determination to make it. I hope you build yourself up and use resilience to get through this. This too shall pass.

Do you have the WILL power
:
Lesson 2 Strategic Introspection
How to put together resources
:
I know we have all heard stories of people who survive being shipwrecked or lost in jungles and forests or mountains. Many of these people tell remarkable stories of how they lost all their usual necessities and ended up stranded but their will to survive helped them get through. The way we sway the emotional responses usually determines how stuck we become in a bad situation or how determined we become to overcome it. This is your fight or flight response.
:
So its important that in your strategic introspection you nurture your fight skills more than flight. Our mind is trained by how we think of things and when we meditate on negativity our responses become negative. So when it comes to resources in any situation being negative shows you dead ends and being positive shows you possibilities.
:
During COVID-19 many of us are being challenged to either fight or flight in different contexts. So rather than focus on the worry of what else could go wrong try see how what you have currently can mitigate the effect of the negatives that you anticipate.
:
So how do we do this?
•Ask yourself what's in my hand? (Skills, savings, helpers?)
•On that list of possible negative outcomes u have what of the current things tou have may help lessen the blow? (Savings to bail out the business or serve as income? Networks to helo you get a new job? Pending sales you could still close after lockdown)
• Sharpen the resources you have now in this time in preoaration( look at your business model and see how best it can survive after this? Consider cost cutting in home and business? Consider some skills or agility you or your business may need to navigate in other tough times like this one?)
:
Bottom line is nurture positivity then look inside you for your inbuilt resources, around you for the ones you have been given and beyond you for those that you could tap into with some effort. Unleash the fighting spirit within you.

STRATEGIC INTROSPECTION👓
:
With COVID-19 many businesses have had to rethink how they do things currently but also how to get through this time of economic crisis. Same applies to individuals who have had to find other means to survive after their jobs ended or income generation has been hindered. With all this chaos its important to keep a calm head as you make your next set of decisions.
:
This takes us to the next stage in maintaining our mental wellness in crisis, strategic introspection. Introspection is the process where we connect with our thoughts and emotions in a time of self reflection. Strategic Introspection however means this reflection is aligned to a knowledge of your values and goals. As you self reflect your decisions become more objective and more likely to help you get closer to achieving your goals.
:
Some pointers on how we do this?
•Ask yourself the consequences that can accompany that decision?( Negative and positive )
•Check what biases you might have that could affect the decision you are about to make? (Sometimes our feelings can be misleading when making decisions )
•Take some time to process some of the emotions before making the decision( eg. If angry wait until you calm down before making up your mind)

Yes life is different but its not over for you. With some strategic introspection you can navigate this current state of affairs and come out better for it on the other end.This same concept can also be applied to other situations. So why not try some strategic introspection as you consider your next set of decisions.

Change yourself..
:
Structure can be great for us but rigidity can be tragic. Sometimes life will call us to change ourselves inorder to survive a certain experience.
:
This change may look like an attitude adjustment, or a perception or opinion change or behaviour pattern. Whatever the case sometimes uncomfortable changes can be very necessary.
:
The world is in a period where we are forced to change so we survive. Take a look at the changes you have had to make to your life in this time and embrace them. A lot of it has been for your good so stop fighting it.
Adapt and evolve so you can survive this time. You will come out better for it 🤗

Change something

They say it takes 21days to start a habit . What habit will you be starting in the next 21days?

Zim will be on lockdown for the next 21days. Rather than just coming up with an endless bunch of tasks or activities just to pass time why not be more intentional. Why not use this time to work on yourself, your relationships, your business etc.

So how to decide on what this habit could be is by first identifying a change you want to see in your life and then seeing what habits could get you closer to that goal. Maybe you will start reading books more or just eating a meal together with your loved ones each night or you will check in with friends more regularly .

These are seemingly small everyday things but maybe while things are moving a bit slow.......... you can catch up on all the moments you have been missing.

So take a moment to think about it and do share in the comments what new habit you want to be cultivating in this season?
