On May 8th, I Am Zimbabwe Trust partnered with the incredible team for a transformative day focused on skill-building, mental well-being, and self-reliance.
We brought together dynamic female guardians and vibrant school pupils for a powerful, interactive workshop designed to uplift our community from the ground up.
Our youth engaged in a vital session led by Mental Health Hut on the importance of empathy, kindness, and standing up for one another. They learned how to spot bullying, protect their mental well-being, and foster safe, inclusive spaces both in and out of school.
Creativity and entrepreneurship took center stage! Both our pupils and female guardians dived into practical bead-working training.
This session equipped them with sustainable crafting skills to start their own micro-businesses, enabling them to work for themselves and build financial independence.
It was a fantastic opportunity to learn a new craft, unlock their creativity, and understand the basics of self-reliance from an early age.
True community development means addressing both mental well-being and practical life skills. A massive thank you to Mental Health Hut for their invaluable insights, and to all the pupils and guardians who brought so much energy to the day!
Together, we are building a stronger, safer, and more self-reliant Zimbabwe.
