WHAT INFORMATION IS OF PRIORITY TO US AS YOUTH NOWADAYS

THE streets of social media starting from yesterday were flooded by the story of a man who didn't show up on the roora day , yet the very same day there was a break through to do with opportunities in the field of business, information which us as youth must value more , as we cry about the unavailability of jobs giving back of our heads to the opportunity by the on the easy of doing business

Well in other news important cabinet approved consolidation of fragmented licensing requirements into a single licence, the streamlining of duplicative and overlapping permits, the removal of unnecessary levies, and the lowering of high fees across major wholesale and retail sub-sectors. Among the reviewed fees, the Liquor licence application fee will be reduced to US$20 across all sectors, down from US$1 080 for wholesalers. The Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe (MCAZ) permit fee of US$200 for trade in veterinary products will be removed entirely. The Local Authority bakery licence fee of US$703 will also be scrapped. Local authority licence fees will now be capped for uniformity nationwide.

in : Sarah Masiyiwa, Strive Masiyiwa’s daughter, has been appointed to the role of Alternate Director on Econet Wireless’s board. Sarah Masiyiwa, with expertise in economics and global media, joins the board as of October 2025 to contribute to investment strategy. Elizabeth Tanya, Sarah’s sister, has held a similar role since April 2022, also serving as director on the company’s board. Strive Masiyiwa, on the other hand, seems more interested in AI, with a $720 million investment set for establishing AI factories across Africa.

Today, the Chikomborero Foundation spent a deeply fulfilling day at Nazareth Old People’s Home in Chinhoyi where we conducted a vegetable cultivation initiative a project that reflects one of our core pillars: Agricultural Advocacy.

This wasn’t just about planting vegetables. It was about planting hope, restoring dignity and building bridges between generations. Agriculture for us is more than a livelihood it’s a language of growth and sustainability. It connects people, nourishes communities and reminds us that true empowerment begins with what we choose to sow both in the soil and in each other’s hearts.

As we planted each vegetable we also sowed seeds of gratitude, respect and hope. A powerful reminder that giving back a willing heart and open hands. Working hand in hand with the elderly we were reminded that compassion is a profound form of leadership and that communities truly flourish when youths step forward with purpose. Every seed we planted carried a message that "we are all blessed to be a blessing."

At the Chikomborero Foundation our mission goes beyond cultivating food we strive to nurture resilience, belonging and hope for generations to come.

In today’s fast-evolving world, youth are at the center of change. However, many young people lack platforms to express themselves, access relevant information, or engage in productive discourse. Volunteer Youth Vibes (VYV) is a youth-led digital and physical news & media platform aimed at amplifying young voices, showcasing youth-led initiatives, and informing, educating, and entertaining the youth across communities.

Vision:
To be the leading youth-run media platform promoting youth development, creativity, and positive change in Zimbabwe and beyond.

Mission:
To inform, inspire and empower youth through vibrant content, youth-driven conversations, and community engagement.

Objectives:
- Provide a platform for youth expression, storytelling, and civic engagement.
