-Supervise Field Officers and MERL Officer
-Ensure that Field Officers are accurately targeting clients in line with the case plan process.
-Drive the implementation of Zimbabwe Works’s youth activities in Mutare and Harare that include; Entrepreneurship and Business Management, Business Mentorship, Technical Skills Training, Internship placement, Mentorship for basic Technical Skills
-Review program and MEAL data to track project performance and identify best practices.
-Work with District Field Officers to ensure that ZW youth trainings meet national and international standards.
-Ensure project sustainability by creating strong links with relevant provincial stakeholders
-Coordinate with Field Officers to generate monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports.
-Leverage private sector networks to effectively identify and respond to ZW client needs.
-Provide regular updates on implementation progress and prepare appropriate contributions to internal ZW and donor reports. This may include conducting mini researches and generating other technical reports as required.
-Identify any problems or challenges that may arise and offer solutions in a timely manner.

Required Skills and Experience

-Must possess good leadership skills
-Should be able to work with minimal supervision

Position Summary

The MEAL Officer will provide overall support for monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning to the District Field Officers across Zimbabwe Works projects. S/He will work closely with the ZW District Field Officers, Youth Specialist and HQ staff in the area of knowledge and information management and ZW HQ staff in the areas of knowledge and information management combined with generation of reports, developing and managing M&E systems in accordance with donor standards, data quality and gathering learning and best practice documentation in M & E and related key program areas.

Responsibilities

-Develop, manage and refine the project MEAL system
-Lead in the statistical analysis and/or interpretation of results, data and information for program development.
-Provide technical input into the design and implementation of project MEAL activities.
-Respond to information demands placed on ZW by management, staff and donors.
-Ensure that the project(s) complies with donor DQA requirements.
-Develop and refine project data collection tools and identify strengths and weaknesses in existing
data collection and management systems and propose solutions.
-Undertake periodic and timely field monitoring visits as required to ensure the quality of
submitted data and verify accuracy of the data.
-Verify, clean, collate, analyze project generated data.
-Manage project information such as beneficiary data base, projects district level Indicator Performance Tracking Table.
-Support the project staff in the compilation and verification of project reports
-Document the lessons learned and best practices of the different project sectors that can be
implemented and or up-scaled in future for business development opportunities.

Required Skills and Experience

-Must possess good leadership skills
-Should be able to work with minimal supervision
