Today, ZIMNAMH successfully held a Success Exchange Visit at Chinamhora Clinic, bringing together participants from support groups in Chinyika, Mufakose, and Chinamhora.
The event provided an opportunity for participants to learn from one another, share recovery experiences, and strengthen peer support networks. Participants who successfully completed the WHO QualityRights Online Course were proudly presented with their certificates in recognition of their commitment to promoting mental health, human rights, and recovery-oriented care. The day was also filled with wellness activities that encouraged interaction, fun, and social connection among participants. These activities highlighted the importance of holistic wellbeing and the power of peer support in the recovery journey.
ZIMNAMH remains committed to empowering people with lived experience through capacity building, promoting human rights, and creating inclusive spaces that foster hope, recovery, and community participation.

Today, ZIMNAMH team facilitated a training session with two support groups at Chinyika Clinic on “Recovery and the Right to Health: Promoting Human Rights-Based Recovery Approaches.” The session focused on enhancing participants’ understanding of recovery-oriented mental health care and the importance of protecting and promoting human rights in mental health services. Participants discussed key issues including dignity, empowerment, inclusion, non-discrimination, and the right of every individual to access quality healthcare and participate in decisions affecting their wellbeing. The training also encouraged peer support, community participation, and creating safe environments that foster hope and recovery. Through such initiatives, ZIMNAMH continues to strengthen awareness and promote inclusive communities where people with mental health conditions are respected, supported, and empowered to live meaningful lives.

Today, ZIMNAMH team conducted a training session with two support groups at Chinamhora Clinic focusing on “Recovery and the Right to Health: Promoting Human Rights-Based Recovery Approaches.” The training aimed to strengthen participants’ understanding of recovery in mental health, human rights, dignity, inclusion, and the importance of person-centred care. Participants engaged in meaningful discussions on promoting respect, empowerment, informed decision-making, and community inclusion for people with mental health conditions and psychosocial disabilities.

Today, we successfully conducted a training session with two support groups at Chinamhora Clinic, focusing on core concepts of understanding mental health, disability, and human rights under the World Health Organization QualityRights framework. The session aimed to build awareness on the importance of dignity, equality, and inclusion for people with mental health conditions and psychosocial disabilities. Participants actively engaged in discussions around breaking stigma, understanding their rights, and promoting community support systems that enhance recovery and well-being. Through this engagement, we continue to empower individuals with knowledge that strengthens self-advocacy, promotes respect for human rights, and supports sustainable recovery within the community.

Today at Chinyika Clinic, ZIMNAMH conducted a meaningful visit with one of our support groups, engaging participants in wellness planning and dreams/goals setting as part of promoting holistic mental health recovery. The session focused on supporting individuals to develop personalized wellness plans by identifying triggers, strengthening coping strategies, and building reliable support systems. Participants also took part in a reflective dreams and goals activity, which encouraged them to rediscover hope, define their aspirations, and set realistic, achievable goals for their future. The engagement had a positive impact, as it enhanced self-awareness, improved emotional regulation, strengthened peer support within the group, and motivated individuals to take an active role in their recovery journey. Today, the ZIMNAMH team had the privilege of visiting one of our support groups at Chinamhora Clinic, where they conducted meaningful wellness planning and “Dreams & Goals” activities with participants. The session created a safe and empowering space for individuals to reflect on their personal journeys, identify their aspirations, and develop practical steps toward achieving a healthier and more fulfilling life. Through guided discussions and interactive exercises, participants were encouraged to take ownership of their mental wellness while envisioning a hopeful future.
At ZIMNAMH, we believe that recovery goes beyond treatment which inncludes restoring hope, building resilience, and supporting individuals to rediscover their purpose. Moments like these remind us of the power of community, connection, and shared growth.

Today, the ZIMNAMH team conducted a meaningful visit to the support group at Chinamhora Clinic in Domboshava, where members actively participated in a powerful wellness activity known as the Tree of Life.
The Tree of Life is a therapeutic approach that helps individuals reflect on their personal journeys in a safe and supportive space.
The process was helpful in promoting self-awareness, resilience, and healing . It encouraged members to reconnect with their identity beyond their challenges, recognize their inner strengths, and build a sense of belonging within the group. 💚
