Κυριακή των Μυροφόρων στo Χαραρε 26/04/2026
Σήμερα, την ευλογημένη ημέρα των Μυροφόρων, συγκεντρωθήκαμε με συγκίνηση για να τιμήσουμε τη μνήμη των εκλιπουσών κυριών του Συνδέσμου μας· γυναικών που με πίστη, αφοσίωση και αγάπη υπηρέτησαν την Εκκλησία, την παροικία και τον συνάνθρωπο.
Οι Μυροφόρες γυναίκες αποτέλεσαν πρότυπο θάρρους και ανιδιοτελούς αγάπης, καθώς στάθηκαν δίπλα στον Κύριο στις πιο δύσκολες στιγμές.
Με το ίδιο πνεύμα, οι κυρίες που σήμερα μνημονεύουμε στάθηκαν άξιες συνεχίστριες αυτής της ιερής παρακαταθήκης. Με ταπεινότητα και εργατικότητα στήριξαν την Εκκλησία μας, διατήρησαν τις παραδόσεις μας και κράτησαν ζωντανό το ελληνικό πνεύμα στη μακρινή γη της Ζιμπάμπουε.
Για πολλά χρόνια, ο Σύνδεσμος τελεί αυτό το μνημόσυνο την ημέρα των Μυροφόρων, ως ένδειξη ευγνωμοσύνης και τιμής προς εκείνες που προηγήθηκαν.
Η προσφορά τους δεν ξεχνιέται· ζει μέσα από το έργο που άφησαν πίσω τους και μέσα από τη συνέχιση της δράσης του Συνδέσμου.
Θα ήθελα να ευχαριστήσω τον Σεβασμιώτατο και τον πάτερ Γιώργο για το μνημόσυνο.
Την Εύα Ευθυμίου για τη δωρεά του δίσκου με τα κόλλυβα και, τέλος, όλες τις κυρίες του συμβουλίου μου για τα γλυκά και τους μεζέδες, καθώς και όλους και όλες εσάς που είστε σήμερα μαζί μας.
Ας είναι αιωνία η μνήμη τους. Ας αποτελούν για όλες μας παράδειγμα πίστης, αγάπης και προσφοράς, και ας μας δίνουν δύναμη να συνεχίσουμε το έργο τους με τον ίδιο ζήλο και την ίδια αφοσίωση.

Sunday of the Myrrh-bearing Women 26/04/2026
Today, on the blessed day of the Myrrhbearing Women, we have gathered with deep emotion to honor the memory of the departed ladies of our Association women who, with faith, devotion, and love, served the Church, our community, and their fellow human beings.
The Myrrh-bearing Women stand as a model of courage and selfless love, as they remained by the Lord’s side during the most difficult moments.
In the same spirit, the ladies we commemorate today proved to be worthy successors of this sacred legacy. With humility and diligence, they supported our Church, preserved our traditions, and kept the Greek spirit alive in this distant land of Zimbabwe.
For many years, our Association has held this memorial service on the day of the Myrrh-bearing Women as a sign of gratitude and honor to those who came before us.
Their contribution is not forgotten; it lives on through the work they left behind and through the continued efforts of our Association.
I would also like to warmly thank with His Eminence blessings our Father George for today’s memorial service and his good words .
Special thanks to Eva Efthymiou for her generous donation of the tray with koliva, thanks to all the ladies of my committee for the sweets and savory dishes, as well as to all of you who are here with us today.
May their memory be eternal. May they be an example to all of us of faith, love, and offering, and may they give us strength to continue their work with the same zeal and dedication.
