CAFP is a registered Trust governed by a Board of Trustees drawn from the public and private sector. CAFP activities are anchored on three core operational pillars as follows:
1) Research and policy development
Producing independent and high quality public research goods on policies, investments, and programmes that are necessary to shape a private sector-led productive, sustainable, inclusive, and resilient agricultural and food system that is capable of achieving broad-based agricultural growth and development to end hunger and malnutrition and reduce poverty.
2) Partnerships, outreach and communications
Integrating research findings into national, regional, and international investments, policy strategies and programmes in order to help accelerate the adoption of effective, Zimbabwe-led policies, regulatory frameworks and programmes that drive broad-based agricultural transformation, diversification and improved smallholder incomes and food and nutrition security; and
3) Capacity strengthening for policy implementation
Supporting the development and strengthening of capacity building for policy research, analysis, implementation, monitoring and outreach of public, non-state actors and private institutions in Zimbabwe.
