Calling all the dendrophiles (a.k.a the green warriors)! 🌳💚

Let's turn Harare greener — and tastier. This Tuesday at Parirenyatwa Hospital, 9:30–11:30 AM, we’re planting fruit trees that will feed our community for years to come.

Huya neshamwari dzenyu dzose tiise maoko pamwe chete! Every seedling planted is a tree of hope: fresh fruit, clean air, and even stronger community roots.

We're on a mission to create sustainable food security and fight climate change by planting fruit trees in public places across Zimbabwe, for everyone to enjoy.

We arrived at Eaglesvale Junior School with little seeds, and big dreams — and left with a new generation of tree planters.

The kids caught on to the propagation methods very quickly. We showed them how self-watering systems give young plants a fighting chance. They laughed when soil slid through their fingers, and cheered when tiny green seedlings stood tall.

And as we walked the newly planted nursery garden together, I realised: when children plant trees, they plant hope. They plant community. They plant future fruit for people who need it most.

Here’s to young growers and big dreams. Here’s to turning classrooms into nurseries and concrete into orchards.

October treated us to an unforgettable time at Millennial Academy. We spent the day teaching students how to set up and run their own orchard — and they embraced it with so much passion.

From soil mixing and planting, to creating self-watering setups and learning how to graft papaya trees, they picked it all up like pros.

They asked smart questions, got their hands dirty, and built their very own school orchard from the ground up.

This is what investing in tomorrow looks like: practical skills and big green dreams.

In the face of deforestation, we came together at Pioneer Cemetery to plant trees and cultivate a greener, more sustainable Harare. These saplings portray our commitment to combating climate change and nurturing a verdant future for all. So much thanks to the Harare City Council for organising such a program!!
