Youth Ensemble attended a 3 day workshop on Youth Programme Development guide with other Safe and Inclusive Cities implementing partners such as Dialogue on Shelter, Bulawayo Vendors and Traders Association, Zizo Motion Pictures, Youth Alliance for Safer Cities and Mbilez 24 as well as young people from Stoneridge, Mbare and Epworth. The workshop was on Youth Engagement in the whole process of the project that is from project designing, planning and implenentation. The young people also explained how they want to be engaged that is as participants, as partners and as leaders.
Plan Denmark, Plan Zimbabwe and other SAIC implementing partners visited Youth Ensemble in Stoneridge. They met the young people and they explained how far they have gone with SAIC 2 that is they did mapping of their area to identify the gaps and opportunities that are there and analysed them. They also explained how they are engaging other young people to address the challenges in the community such as prostitution, early marriages, drug and substance abuse and link them to youth economic empowerment so that they can access decent income.
