This Africa Day, we celebrate unity, resilience, and the promise of a continent powered by its young people. But across Ushewekunze, Zimbabwe, and much of Africa, that promise is being stolen by skunk, crystal m**h, and other drugs.
Drugs don’t just damage one person – they break families, empty classrooms, and silence talent. A young person lost to addiction is a lost engineer, teacher, farmer, or athlete that Africa needs.
On Africa Day we remember that freedom meant more than flags. It meant the freedom to build, to dream, to live with dignity. Drugs take that freedom away.
*To our youth*: Your mind is your greatest asset. Protect it. If you’re struggling, reach out – you are not alone, and help exists.
*To our communities*: Let’s replace silence with support, and idle time with sport, skills, and opportunity.
*To our leaders*: Africa’s future depends on investing in youth – jobs, counseling, and safe spaces, not just warnings.
Today, as we raise the African flag, let’s raise our voices too: _Ushewekunze, Zimbabwe, Africa – we choose life, we choose our future, we choose to be drug-free._
Happy Africa Day. Our liberation is not complete until every young African is free from addiction.
