YCS Zimbabwe was represented by the Archdiocese of Harare YCS President and participated in a day of ecological learning and action organised by Silveira House Jesuit Social Justice & Development Center, CYNESA and Christopher Paidamoyo Murasi this past Saturday.

The environmental action was held under the theme “Living Waters, Rivers of Justice, Streams of Hope” brought together young people from Catholic youth movements in a prayerful and practical demonstration of ecological stewardship.

The learning was then translated into action by planting 35 trees, picking litter, clearing weeds, and clearing established gardens around the Silveira House grounds- this served as practical steps towards restoring and caring for the environment, and our common home. This also created a connection between faith, ecological justice, youth power and youth action.

Religious leaders continue to listen to young people's opinions on matters that concern them.

From 03 to 05 May 2024, ZYCS successfully hosted a series of Comprehensive Sexuality Education dialogues featuring religious leaders from the ZCBC and other walks of faith, animators, young people and students. These
dialogues aimed at breaking the ground and co-creating safe spaces for religious leaders to reflect and implement policies that cater for the ever evolving needs of new generations. Thank you ZCBCSoccom News Updates RC Diocese of Mutare Soccom
