Little secret about me 🤫
I speak a bit of Arabic, I picked it up during my travels, arts and client work.
I love languages, word’s literally shape people and culture.
Multi linguistic skills enhance our emotional intelligence, it makes us unique and universal helps us to define our niche.
Languages, like culture can be adapted over time and through different environments. I love picking up a conversation with a taxi driver or a young person who is bi-lingual.
Many families in the UK raise their children with no-lingual skills, it sets them up for the bigger world, because in the social and cultural skills are important to growth and success.
The power of languages is just as powerful as the powe of silence, through them we navigate our inner selves and connect with others.
Ubuntu philosophy says ‘I am because we are’
I love the connections I am making through learning Arabic. I love breaking bread with communities, story telling and travelling through time and memories.
