Young women and girls came together for a Hurukuro dialogue to talk openly about gender equality, leadership, gender-based violence and child marriage.

The conversation created space to share experiences, ask questions and reflect on the issues affecting their lives and communities.

These spaces help young women and girls build knowledge, confidence and a stronger voice to claim their rights and take action on issues that matter to them.

Putting skills into action. โœŠ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’œ

The women in Goromonzi are continuing to put what they learned into practice by producing and packaging their own products.

Every step is a reminder that when women have access to skills and opportunities, they can build stronger livelihoods, support their families, and create brighter futures. Economic empowerment plays an important role in reducing vulnerabilities to GBV and child marriage while strengthening communities.

We are proud to see this journey continue.

Across Borders, One Mission ๐ŸŒ

The Institute of Women Social Workers joined inspiring partners from across Malawi, Kenya, Nigeria, and Zimbabwe at a 3-day Anglophone Regional Learning Workshop in Kenya.

This was more than a gathering, it was a call to action. Centering Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), we challenged systems, amplified voices, and pushed forward the agenda of advancing equality across Africa.

We are not just sharing knowledge, we are building movements, driving change, and demanding a future where rights are respected and protected.

Together, we rise and push boundaries for a more just and equitable future.

Real change begins when communities have honest conversations.

At our Hurukuro Dialogue in Goromonzi, traditional leaders, religious leaders, and community stakeholders came together to talk openly about what drives gender-based violence. Together, they reflected on harmful social norms, explored ways to strengthen accountability, and discussed how communities can better support survivors.

These conversations are helping to build safer, more inclusive communities where women and girls can live free from violence.

"When girls are heard, communities are transformed."

Voice. Power. Lead. These three words captured the spirit of the Women's Summit 2026, convened by the Women's Coalition of Zimbabwe.

The launch of the State of Women Report 2026 reminded us that real change goes beyond policies. It happens when women and girls know their rights, use their voices, and are empowered to lead.

As Chair of the Girl Child Cluster under Women's Coalition of Zimbabwe, we remain committed to championing girls' rights, amplifying their voices, and creating opportunities for every girl to thrive.

Together, we will continue building a future where every girl is heard, every woman is valued, and every voice has the power to create lasting change.
