Our Project Assistance had the opportunity to represent Emerald Climate Hub.

The talk show brought together bring together voices from across Zimbabwe’s conservation landscape for a constructive dialogue on Human-Wildlife Conflict and the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) To

1️⃣Illuminate the lived realities of communities affected by human-wildlife conflict

2️⃣Explore policy and practical solutions that balance conservation with livelihoods

3️⃣Raise public awareness of position and priorities ahead of CITES CoP20

4️⃣Foster inclusive dialogue among government, civil society, youth, and traditional leaders

The discussion forms part of our national preparations for the upcoming CITES to be held later this November in Uzbekistan.

SW25 is designed to translate national climate frameworks into sector-specific action. Through its dedicated
conferences, the event was to

1.Mobilize Investment: Attract funding for green projectsacross Key sectors
by showcasing investment-ready
opportunities in sustainable mining, regenerative smart agriculture, tourism, biodiversity and climate-resilient urban
intrastructure

2.Strengthen Policy: Facilitate cross-sectoral dialogue to align policies and bylaws with the Climate Change Act and National Development Strategies.

3.Boost Key Sectors: Drive the adoption of climate-smart solutions by scaling up renewable energy,promoting
sustainable mining, nature-eases solutions tor careoni
removal, green tourism and biodiversity conservation, advancing circular waste management in cities, and implementing sustainable farming practices to enhance national food security.

4.Empower Communities: Integrate youth, women, and marginalized groups into climate decision-making and green enterprise development across all sectors, from artisanal mining and community conservancies to urban waste management and agricultural value chains.
