In Zambia, many young people are navigating challenges that affect both their mental health and their ability to access s*xual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR).

Stress, stigma, anxiety, and lack of safe spaces can make it harder for young people to:
-Seek accurate SRHR information
-Access youth-friendly services
-Make confident, informed decisions about their bodies

When mental health is ignored, access to SRHR is limited.
But when young people are supported ,when they feel heard, safe, and empowered — everything changes.

They speak up.
They seek care.
They take control of their future.

This initiative is part of our Zambian programming, rooted in local realities and driven by the voices of young people.

Care Work Is Work

This International Workers’ Day, we celebrate and appreciate the millions of women whose care work sustains homes, communities, and nations every single day.

From raising children, caring for the sick, supporting the elderly, teaching, cooking, cleaning, and nurturing futures , this work is real work, valuable work, and essential work.

At Women Excel Africa, we believe care work must be recognized, reduced, redistributed, and rewarded.

Today, we say thank you to every woman whose labor often goes unseen, but never goes unvalued.

Your body. Your rules. Your future.

Every young person deserves the power to make informed choices free from pressure, fear, or shame. Bodily autonomy is not a privilege, it’s a right.

At Women Excel Africa, we are equipping young people with Comprehensive S*xuality Education (CSE) so they can:
✔️ Speak up
✔️ Set boundaries
✔️ Negotiate safer choices
✔️ Protect their future

Real love respects your NO. Always. ❤️

We are thrilled to share a bold new chapter in our journey.

Women Excel Trust has evolved into Women Excel Africa—a regional movement dedicated to advancing gender equality and social justice across the continent. Our mission remains steadfast, but our reach is now wider, stronger, and more transformative. With a bold new identity, we continue to empower adolescent girls and young women in their diversity—because together, we excel. Thank you to every partner, supporter, and rights-holder who has walked this path with us—this is just the beginning.

Yesterday, Women Excel Trust had the privilege of participating in a learning and exchange visit hosted by ASWA, alongside Springs of Life, focused on strengthening s*x worker-led movements across the region.
The exchange created space for rich cross-learning on regional collaboration, movement building, and capacity strengthening, while unpacking the intersectional challenges faced by s*x workers and identifying collective, solidarity-driven solutions grounded in lived experience.
We deeply appreciate the leadership and openness of ASWA, and the commitment of Springs of Life to shared learning and regional solidarity. The insights gained reinforce our belief that cross-border learning and collaboration are essential to building resilient, rights-based movements led by s*x workers themselves.
At Women Excel Trust, we remain committed to advancing regional cross-learning, feminist solidarity, and people-centred advocacy that ensures nothing about s*x workers is decided without them.
Together, we grow stronger.
