🌟 THIS SUNDAY: IT’S EVERYONE’S JOB TO PROTECT OUR YOUTH 🌟

Good Sunday everyone.

Today we remind ourselves that the fight against drugs and substance abuse in our communities is everyone’s responsibility not just one organization, not just one church, not only the police, and not only parents. Drugs destroy families, ambitions, careers, and the future of our young people because the damage is shared, the solution must also be shared.

When we all play our part, change becomes stronger and lasting, our youth need support, guidance, safety, and real opportunities, no one group can do it alone but together we can win.

Parents and guardians must guide, monitor, and talk to their children.
Youth themselves must make wise choices and stay away from harmful peer pressure and substances. Schools and teachers must educate, mentor, and identify learners who are struggling early.
Religious leaders and churches should continue with counselling, discipleship, and encouragement.
Community leaders must promote discipline, peace, and accountability. Government and service providers must strengthen systems, create access to services, and enforce the law. Youth organizations, sports groups, and social clubs should offer constructive activities that keep young people meaningfully busy.

At YADSAZ, we are committed to doing our part within our capacity through awareness, mentorship, guidance, and advocacy, but we say it clearly, this fight must be a united effort.

This Sunday, let’s renew our commitment to protect the next generation. Let’s speak up, stand together, support our youth, and choose actions over empty talk.

Together we can win our communities deserve a drug-free future.

HEARTS ON FIRE, HANDS IN THE FIELD: OUR SATURDAY REFLECTION. 🔥

This week we walked the hard roads and the hopeful ones, we stood in corners speaking truth to young minds, we sat in quiet rooms listening to stories that needed to be heard, and we moved through communities reminding every youth that they are not forgotten. Volunteers poured out time, prayers, and love, parents found courage to keep fighting for their children and some young people took the brave step of choosing recovery over destruction. Every single moment of it counted.

The truth is, this work is heavy, the enemy of drugs and substance abuse does not sleep, and sometimes the stories we carry can weigh us down but we do not carry them alone. We carry them together, and we carry them to God. Psalm 143 reminds us to cry out, to remember His faithfulness, and to ask Him to show us the way we should go. That is exactly what we did this week we trusted, we prayed, and we kept moving forward in faith.

We saw glimpses of victory in the smallest places, a conversation that ended with hope instead of despair, a youth who showed up for counselling, a community that opened its doors for us to speak. These are the seeds we are planting, and we believe they will grow into a harvest of drug-free, purpose-driven young people across communities.

As we close out this week, let us go into the new one with compassion in our hearts, unity in our steps, and hope as our banner. To every member, volunteer, and partner of YADSAZ, your sacrifice is not in vain. You are building something that will outlive us all.

We are one, we fight as one, we win as one.

🌟 WE ARE ONE: FIGHTING AS ONE LEADS US TO WINNING. 🌟

Greetings Communities.

As we meet this Friday, we are reminded that our strength is not in numbers alone, but in unity of purpose. WE ARE ONE, and when we fight as one, we become unstoppable.

In our ongoing journey to defeat drugs and substance abuse, unity must be our foundation. Let us remember that drugs try to separate people by creating fear, confusion, addiction, and shame, but together, we can break those chains. Together, we can stand firm, speak with courage, and support anyone who needs help. When one youth chooses the right path, it inspires others, when one person speaks up against drugs, others find the confidence to do the same.

This Friday, we renew our commitment with stronger hearts and clearer minds. We will continue to reject substance abuse, encourage our peers, and promote healthy living, we will speak against drugs not with hatred, but with wisdom and truth, we will also keep working with parents, leaders, and partners because a drug-free future is everyone’s responsibility.

Because fighting as one leads us to winning. Let our unity show in how we talk, how we act, how we help, and how we refuse. Let our actions become a message, there is hope, there is healing, and there is victory for every young person who chooses to stay drug-free.

We are ONE, we will keep standing together, we will keep fighting together, and surely, we will WIN together.

🌿 THURSDAY REFLECTION: YOUTH STAND STRONG, YOUR SACRIFICE BUILDS HOPE. 🌿

Happy Thursday, Family.

Today we pause and reflect on the journey of our work as Youth Against Drugs And Substance Abuse (Zimbabwe). This day reminds us that the fight against drugs and substance abuse is not a one-time effort it is a daily commitment carried by courage, unity, and determination.

Within our communities, drugs do not spread only through substances, but through neglect, silence, peer pressure, and hopelessness. That is why our role as youth is powerful. Every time we choose to educate, to correct, to mentor, to encourage discipline, and to protect one another, we are pushing back against darkness. Your contribution may seem small to you, but to someone else, it can be the turning point between danger and safety.

On this day, we honor the efforts and sacrifices that keep this pillar of change standing, we recognize the time you give even when you are tired. The energy you spend even when you feel unappreciated, the courage you have to speak the truth when it is easier to stay quiet and the resilience you maintain when progress is slow. These are not wasted efforts these are seeds planted for a better future.

Our communities need youth who lead with action. If you stand firm against drugs and substances, you protect more than yourself you protect families, schools, churches, and the generations coming after us, if you mentor someone struggling, you give them a path to recovery, if you refuse risky influence, you strengthen the example others will follow and that is how change becomes real.

Let us remember, the fight against drugs and substance abuse is everyone’s responsibility. It is not only about speaking against them, but also about creating environments where young people feel valued, guided, and supported. As youth, we remain committed to promoting a drug-free lifestyle, encouraging positive engagement, speaking out responsibly, and supporting others to access help and recovery.
