The Legacy

The Legacy Custodians driven by a spirit of patriotism, thrive to reflect an compromised standard of excellence

Custodians of the Legacy trust was founded in the year 2010 by a group of descendants of national liberation war heroes whose objectives are to defend, promote and preserve the legacy left behind by all war liberators of Zimbabwe. Whilst the Trust is the initiative of the children of the Liberation War Heroes it is an all-encompassing Trust that seeks to bring together the various stakeholders of

the liberations struggle; vanaChimbwindo, vanaMujiba, Comrades, Political Ex-Detainees, War Veterans, Liberation Heroes, Liberation War Heroes, National Liberation Heroes, Political Detainees and all societies that would stand to defend and associate with the legacy, in an effort to ensure that the history and struggles for the liberation of this nation are not forgotten ever and their families catered for. the Trust's policy and interests still under review and to be passed during the National Members Conference 2014; concerning the preservation of the ideologies that brought us together as children of war liberators to strive for worthiness of preserving our parents’ Legacy. Our goal is to understand Zimbabwe African National Union Patriotic Front (ZANU PF)’s policies, constitutional background and the Party’s fundamental ideologies that have been our parents’ guiding pillars over the years. We endeavor to make them our own and be in a position to live and share them with anybody and everybody in a manner that would educate the Nation. This would help in the preservation of Zimbabwe as a Sovereign state. To execute the policies practically (Manifesto and ZIMASSET) in a manner that would eradicate the dogmatic tendencies perpetrated by our detractors. Our single source of inspiration remains the revolutionary Party, the Zimbabwe African National Union Patriotic Front (ZANU PF). Our policies, actions, interests and very essence as a Trust will be drawn from its policies, guided by the very people who lived and practised them during the Second Chimurenga, after and in this era of asymmetric warfare. Over the next sixty (60) months the Trust will engage the youths from the grassroots to encourage them to take it upon themselves to be actively involved in every aspect of the developments that the Party has set into motion. Our primary objective is the welfare of the families of the members. Our secondary objective is linked to the primary objective in that it is the ex*****on of the above vision for the benefit of the members. Cognisence of the above, the Trust shall engage the relevant Ministries to ensure that the goals set by members are achieved. Our wish is to work together as a team for united we stand and divided we fall.
